Hello;
I want to take this moment to introduce myself!
My name is Serena Isquirdo Garcia and I have a passion for what I do. As it turns out when you have a passion for something you tend to get really good at it. In 1981, I finished beauty school and from there I worked up to a managing position in a salon. Of course life tends to change and mine certainly did. In 1991, I went from managing a salon to managing a family of 5! In 1996 I was back in action, I was employed by a local sausage company to work in their retail events department doing demonstrations of their product in local grocery stores and Costco’s. By 1997 I was placed in charge of setting up and running the special events department for this company and it was always something new. I was able to really display my talents and show just how well I could handle pressure. In 2000 we relocated to the Sacramento Area where I became employed by a national corporate picnic company in their western division covering 11 states. As the Sales Manager I was responsible for the sale & coordination of events with guest counts ranging up to 8000. I have worked with clients such as Granite Construction, Sutter Health, Health Net, Kaiser, Pride Industries, Grimmway Farms, Sutter Home winery, Trinchero winery, MGM Grand and Prim Properties in Las Vegas. In 2004 I started my career as Special events coordinator specializing in Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions, Corporate Events, Golf Tournaments, Proms and Class Reunions. I have worked for local facilities such as The Sterling Hotel, Vizcaya Mansion, Firehouse Restaurant, Serrano Country Club and Del Paso Country club. As a Special Events Manager for 15+ years my clients are able to utilize my logistical knowledge of the coordination of special events as well as my vast knowledge to correct and fix any unforeseen occurrences on the day of the event to their benefit. Whether I am in the studio or overseeing an event onsite, my clients always have my full attention to detail, as I strive everyday to do things for others as I would like them done for myself. I hope I can now get to know you on a personal level as well a professional one.
